Buddy Walk 2005!

Nearly 300 people came out to participate in the 2005 Tuscarawas County Buddy Walk on October 2, 2005, raising more than $13,000. The Walk originated at the New Philadelphia High School, led by the NPHS Marching Band and the New Philadelphia police. After a quick mile around town, everyone returned to the NPHS gymnasium for food, music and dancing, and a charity auction. See the pictures from the 2005 Walk!

More than 350,000 people in the U.S. have Down syndrome.

95% of persons with Down syndrome have an extra copy of the 21st chromosome in every cell.
